Marvelous in my Monday!

by danielle on January 28, 2013

Happy Monday! Celebrating Marvelous in My Monday thanks to Katie. I’ve got some Marvelous Link Love to share with you today.

To be honest I’m not feeling so marvelous myself this Monday! I finally have the cold that has been going around so me and my couch have been spending a lot of time together this weekend. I’m a little late on the meal prep too but planning on getting it done today. So while I’m working on that and hanging with some cold meds and Sophie here’s a wordless post for you along with some reading for you to enjoy!

So sorry you’re not feeling well. It seems like this cold/flu season is so horrible! When I first start to feel a cold coming on I gargle with warm salt water and load up on vitamin C, Zinc and Echinacea. Usually I take Zicam tablets and suck on Vitamin C lozenges which helps a ton! There is also a great sleepy time tea with Echinacea which seems to do the trick! Hope you feel better soon!

Reply

danielle January 28, 2013 at 7:33 pm

It’s definitely bad this season. I’ll have to check out some of those teas!

so sorry you aren’t feeling the greatest! I just got over being sick too….Drink a ton of water (cliche but works), and a cup of hot lemon water when you wake up in the morning…plenty of fruits and veggies help too, though I’m sure you’ll have no trouble with that!

Oh my gosh my whole family has had the crud. The temperatures here have been so extreme. It can literally be 75 degrees one day and then 30 the next! I load up on the green smoothies that’s for sure and try to get the maximum amount of sleep that I can!

I’m sending feel-better vibes your way, Danielle! So sorry you’re not feeling well! I’ve been fighting a flu/cold for most of the week, too — the bugs going around this year are pretty pesky! Rest up, and drink lots of tea! I also swear by chicken broth. When I’m sick, I add garlic and pepper, and gulp it like water (the low sodium kind–otherwise I’d have puffy eyes AND a puffy tummy!)

I’m drooling over that spaghetti squash bake! Please tell me that picture was a teaser for a recipe to come? xoxoxo

p.s. Almost forgot! You suggested chatting tomorrow! I’m unfortunately reeeeally busy, but would Wednesday work? <3

Reply

danielle January 29, 2013 at 12:59 pm

Thanks Sara! Feel better too and keep fighting that flu! Recipe for the spaghetti squash is coming. I was experimenting. Hmm Wednesday this week isn’t good for me but we’ll figure it out. Send me an email and let me know what days work best for you. Maybe next week??
