I am a cereal addict. Seriously. Since I was little I loved dry cereal for just about any meal. Even when I was not eating much, fiber one cereal was still my go to meal. Since going gluten free and dabbling in Paleo my cereal consumption has gone way down but I still do love my cereal. Some of my favorite gluten free cereals are multigrain puffins and chex. May not be the healthiest choice but I love them so I’m okay with them once in a while. For an everyday treat though I love this granola. This is perfect to top on your favorite yogurt (my choice is almond milk yogurt), mix in your oats, eat with berries and almond milk, serve with coconut milk, snack on plain, and so many more options…
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 tbs. ground flaxseed
- 2 tbs. cacao nibs
- 1 tbs. cacao powder
- 1 tbs. coconut sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup honey
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
- In a mixing bowl combine your ingredients excluding the honey.
- Lastly stir in the honey making sure to combine well.
- Spread your granola onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 60 to 90 minutes at 250 degrees.
- Let cool completely and then crumble your granola into small pieces.
Makes 8 servings (1/4 cup)
out of the oven.
all crumbled up.
Are you a cereal fanatic like me??? What’s your cereal of choice?

Love that recipe! I love cereal plain. Right out of the package
I will try this, sounds like the perfect snack!
I’m a huge dry cereal fan too Lucie. So good!
I am a cereal addict too! Unfortunately, I like the junky cereal too. I used to eat like three bowls at a time! I’ve been looking for a paleo cereal
Trust me I used to love the junky cereal too
Believe it or not, I’ve never enjoyed cereal. However, this looks good! But to me, a really good granola isn’t the same as cereal. I love the ingredients you used–superfoods for sure!
No way! I wish I didn’t enjoy cereal so much
I love cereal too, especially with almond milk and fresh fruit. I seem to eat it more in the Summer. I’ve actually been thinking about making a granola…if I get time today, I’m going to give this a try. Happy weekend!
Hope you like it Kim! Cereal is definitely a summer food for me too!
This looks delicious! I’m a cereal fiend, too. My favorite is Fiber One Honey Clusters!
I used to love fiber one before I went gluten free. I never tried the honey clusters though. Sounds good!
mmmmmm that looks so good. I’m totally a fiber one and puffins cereal lover. Although when I was little I was OBSESSED with cinnamon toast crunch and apple jacks. Ah the good ol’ days
haha
I love puffins. Cinnamon toast crunch used to be a favorite of mine too
I LOVE cereal, especially with almond milk. My go-to favorite is Kashi Go Lean Original cereal, but I always mix several cereals together in one bowl in order to keep things interesting!
I used to love kashi before I went gluten free but lets face it I pretty much love any cereal
I had no idea cacao was paleo to be honest! I was never a cereal addict as a kid, I was however a white bread addict. Seriously it used to be all I ever ate. That and bananas, strawberries, frozen peas, and plain pasta. So healthy, right. Ha. This looks super tasty though! I love the added nuts for crunch for the cereal!
That’s too funny! I was no healthy eater as a child either. I was so picky!
This looks so yummy! I love granola. I usually make a batch every month so that I can always have some on hand.
My favourite store bought cereal is a tie between Kashi Honey Almond Flax and Mini Wheats!
Thanks Chelsea!
I’ve always loved Cheerios…that and the marshmallows from Lucky Charms
The marshmallows were always the best part! I used to save them for the end!
OMG I have granola in the oven right now!!!!! Great minds think alike!
They do! Hope you enjoy yours
I am a cereal nut! I could live off granola and the puffins. Have you tried the puffins peanut butter !
Me too! I can’t have the peanut butter cause they’re not gluten free but I love the gluten free ones! So good!
Definitely a cereal fanatic! I don’t think I’ve gone a day in months without having cereal either as a meal or snack (or both
). My favorite cereal right now is probably Kashi Cinnamon Harvest, but cinnamon Puffins come in a close second.
Puffins are a favorite for me too!
I’ve been a cereal fanatic my entire life! As a child, I ate it every morning (Life, Kix, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch, please!), however during my restrictive years, the only cereal that passed my lips was Fiber One. I ate that stuff in MASS quantities! In fact, I think it might be part of the reason that I became intolerant to gluten — I was on fiber and gluten overload. :-p
This Paleo granola sounds and looks delicious! I’ve seen a number of similar recipes floating around the blog world, but yours stands out from the rest because it contains cacao nibs.
I’d love this on top of Greek yogurt or coconut milk ice cream!
Thanks so much Sara! I think we might be twins too. I ate fiber one like a crazy when I was super conscious of calories and I’m convinced that’s why I became gluten intolerant too…so interesting.
Yum! This looks really good! I am a total cereal fanatic! I love Frosted Mini Wheats and lately I have had a crazy craving for Life cereal.
Thanks Kate! So glad you like it!
that looks fabulous!!
Thanks Alysia!
Must make!! I’m such a cereal nut!
