by danielle on October 25, 2012

If you read my blog often you know I am always looking for a quick way to eat something on the go and prepping ahead makes it the easiest! Here is a quick and easy way to add healthy fats to your on the go meal. There’s even a little boost of protein in them! Now all you have to add is a protein and a carb and you’re good to go! Now these are not the prettiest snack but I promise they taste way better than they look!

Directions:

  1. In food processor add in all of your ingredients and pulse 2-3 minutes until blended.

Those don’t actually look too bad. I’ve been thinking about picking up almond butter lately. It’s just so darn expensive! Do you have a preferred brand?

I love Justin’s almond butter but it is pretty pricey!

these are such a great idea!! i hate raisins but i’m wondering if they would work without..

Yes they definitely would! Maybe you could swap dates or dried cranberries instead! You couldn’t really taste the raisins anyway!

Love making little bites like these! My favourite on the go healthy fat is just handful of almonds or a banana with soy nut butter!

We’re all doing to-go food today! My favorite healthy fat is avocado… followed by cashews. Really, I love all fats though.

These balls look tasty. Brown food rocks. :)

I’m a big fan of almonds, pistachios and dark chocolate!

You can’t go wrong with almond butter and coconut butter! Great idea adding in the protein powder. My favorite healthy snack on the go is a Larabar or my Paleo Power Ball….or really any kind of healthy ball, like these.
